New attributes are created under a folioready_ prefix, so you can always see what the integration manages — filter your Attio object settings for it. Disconnecting stops future writes; the attributes and the values already on your records stay exactly where they are.
Connect Attio
We start at the FolioReady integration page — Attio's sitting right there in the list. Hit Connect, and Attio tells you exactly what we will access. Have a read, then say yes.
And that's the two systems connected. If you ever want to redo it or pull the plug, it's right here.
Point the template at a record
A template is where you set out what you need from a client. Open the settings and tell it where this should write to in Attio — here we'll send it to the person record.
Now anything this template collects has a specified destination.
Map a field to an Attio attribute
We ask the client for three documents, and everything underneath is the data AI will discover.
Then the field mapping. You can point each field at an attribute Attio already has, or just create a new one in Attio from here. And it's connected — that field now writes straight into Attio. Then it's the same for the rest: do it once in a template and every folio follows the same rules.
This is what the AI reads, and where each bit ends up.
Publish, then request the documents
Publish the template, and you're ready to go.
Now pick your client. James isn't in Attio at all, and we'll link him automatically. Pick the template — it already knows where the data's going. It'll email James, and chase him for you if he forgets.
The folio is the ask: one client, one set of documents. That's the folio out.
The client uploads
He gets a code by email. No account to make, no password. He uploads the files, that's it — no pages of questions. Submit, and James is done.
AI reads the documents
The second those land, we start reading them. Files and summaries go over to Attio on their own. And the values go with them.
What lands in Attio
There's James, who was never in Attio. Submitting the folio and syncing the data put him there.
Every document comes with a summary — a quick way to see what you got — and it's got the real details in it: account holder, the period, the balance. The actual files are on there too.
And finally all the fields have been extracted and synced. Nobody had to type a thing.
